A project six years in the making

A lot of my conversations with Lindsay involve me complaining. Either about the weather, or the spotty wifi in my office, or how I’m convinced Lifehacker is reading my mind. (I search for something and 24 hours later a post appears on their website on that exact topic. You try explaining that!)

Anyway, my latest complaint was how Google Inbox handles pictures. For anyone not familiar, whenever a file is attached to an email, Inbox gives you a huge preview thumbnail with no way to hide it. Back in October I spent a long time staring at a dancing corgi gif.

Lindsay mentioned that she created a “Podcast” label for anything Beyond the Microscope related, and archives emails immediately. Being the follower that I am, I immediately went to create the same thing, only to find that such a label already existed. Had I outsmarted myself? Did I sleep-type this into being?

Nope.

Turns out, I had thought about doing a science podcast SIX YEARS AGO! It’s comforting how much I haven’t changed… So, a big thanks to my partner-in-science for pushing this project out of digital purgatory. I’m excited for you all to hear the episodes coming up. It’s been a looooooong time coming.
